The Hungarian Parliament has elected a new president and she looks set to be a thorn in the side of liberal globalists.
Katalin Novak was elected Hungarian President after reaching the two-thirds threshold in the first round of voting. Her political career stretches back to 2001 and she has been a member of Parliament since 2018.
Novak has never kept her faith and beliefs hidden, stating in a recent interview, âThe Bible reminds us every day that our land does not belong to us but to God, and power does not belong to us, but belongs to Him. Nor should we be proud of our accomplishments, but He also deserves credit.”
In another interview she stated, “I know that the kingdom belongs to God, but this does not make me inactive, rather liberates me, because I have the opportunity to participate as a servant in His realm. This makes my work and my life meaningful.”
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Vicktor Orban, Hungary has enacted a number of pro-family policies, designed to support families and incentivise an increased birth rate. The rollout of these polices has been overseen by Mrs Novak during her time as minister for family affairs.
Lets be praying for Novak as she takes up this important role. Letâs pray she continues to put God first in all she does and that she is protected from attacks the enemy will try to launch against her.
